Insurance

I currently do not accept insurance. I am happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Being out-of-network benefits my clients for many reasons, including:

More confidentiality - If you use insurance to pay for therapy, your therapist is obligated to submit your diagnosis and treatment details to the insurance company. It is important to me that your treatment remain fully confidential. It is also important to me that a diagnosis isn’t given before I’m fully able to get to know you and evaluate your symptoms.

Client-driven treatment - When therapists accept insurance, they must only follow treatment approaches approved by your plan. This means there is less flexibility to tailor your care based on your unique needs, whether it’s treatment modality, days approved, session frequency, or length of sessions.

Getting started right away - Getting insurance approval can delay therapy and may result in some treatments being denied. Without involving insurance, you can begin therapy sooner and avoid bureaucratic red tape.

Focusing on wellness, instead of illness - I believe that therapy isn’t just for treating disorders. Therapy can be helpful for self-improvement, personal growth, stronger relationships, life transitions, emotional resilience, and more.
